At SXSW Interactive 2010, I (Ariel Waldman) organized a panel called Open Science: Create, Collaborate, Communicate. Here’s the audio recording from it where we discuss the largest challenges, our dreams for the future and how people can get involved right now.

Description: From discovering galaxies to folding proteins: how to actively contribute to science. Science projects are harnessing open collaboration to further discovery and exploration. As a result, citizen science is witnessing a renaissance. The panel will discuss how you can get involved and challenges faced in making science open.

Panelists: Tantek Çelik, Ariel Waldman, Kirsten Sanford, Jessy Cowan-Sharp, Natalie Villalobos
